ABOUT US

The MINA Project is a woman-founded, equity-led nonprofit dedicated to empowering equity-deserving youth dedicated to empowering youth from equity-deserving, racialized, and underserved communities. Our mission is to dismantle systemic barriers to education and employment through experiential learning, mentorship, and access to meaningful career opportunities—ultimately helping to build a more inclusive and diverse talent pipeline.

Our flagship programs, Inspiring Futures and Inspiring Work, are designed to bridge the gaps in skills, opportunities, and networks:

  • Inspiring Futures is a volunteer-driven initiative that connects underrepresented (BIPOC) industry professionals with  students from equity-deserving backgrounds. By linking education to employment, the program broadens horizons, challenges biases, and helps students build a positive outlook on school and career pathways.

  • Inspiring Work is an intensive, year-long program that offers monthly workshops and access to summer internships. It focuses on soft skills development and career-related experiential learning, preparing students to excel in their future careers.

By collaborating with educators, employers, and community leaders, The MINA Project strives to ensure that all youth have equal opportunities to succeed, regardless of their background.
